Cal OES Is Offering A New Grant Opportunity for the Supervised Visitation Program

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is offering a new grant opportunity for the Supervised Visitation Program (SP). 

The purpose of the SP Program is to assure the safety and protection of children by supporting professional providers who supervise visitation of children with a noncustodial party where there is a history or allegations of domestic violence, child abuse or neglect, or sexual abuse.

The performance period is May 1, 2020, through April 30, 2021. Submission period is Monday, March 9, 2020.

Individual Applicants may request up to $200,000

Two new grant opportunities are also available in the transfer of Knowledge Program (KO) and the Special Needs School Transportation Camera (SN) Program.

Jonathan Gudel is a Public Information Officer for the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES). Since joining Cal OES, he has assisted in the response and recovery efforts of the Aliso Canyon Gas Leak, the state's historic drought, the Oroville Dam Emergency Spillway Incident, unprecedented winter storms in 2017, the 2017 October (Sonoma County) and December (Santa Barbara County) wildfires, the Camp Fire in 2018, the 2020 statewide fire siege, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, he worked in the newspaper industry for 12 years.
