Debris Removal Operations Center in Butte County Moving Location

The Debris Removal Operations Center (DROC) in Chico will be moving to a new location. The new address for the DROC will be

900 Fortress St, Suite 200, Chico, CA 95969

The current address, 2805 Esplanade, will still be open to service the public until Friday, March 29, 2019.

The DROC serves as the epicenter of the state’s consolidated debris removal program, with representatives from the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), Cal Recycle, FEMA, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) on site. Residents with debris removal related questions are encouraged to visit the center or call the DROC phone line at 530-399-0434.

Camp Fire debris removal operations are progressing rapidly in Butte County. To date, 5,778 sites have been assessed, 4,020 asbestos surveys have been completed, and over 116,000 tons of debris has been removed.
