Thank you to everyone who helped us kick-off National Preparedness Month on Saturday, September 8, 2018, in Old Sacramento at the California Day of Preparedness. The event was a huge success and was great to see how many Californians are taking steps to prepare for the next disaster or emergency. Our event featured emergency preparedness activities as well as a variety of disaster readiness demonstrations including fun disaster preparedness cake walks, water rescues, Dept. of Corrections contraband K-9 officers from Folsom and San Quentin prisons, and a wildfire fighting helicopter water-drop over the river – all in the spirit of becoming a more prepared California.
Take four minutes out of your day to see some of the highlights in pictures.
