SBA Has Approved $31.1 Million in Loans to Help Rebuild and Recover from the South Napa Earthquake

So Napa QuakeSACRAMENTO – Mark Quinn, District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) San Francisco District office, announced today that SBA has approved $31.1 million in disaster loans; $25.4 million to help residents and $5.7 million to help businesses and private, nonprofit organizations rebuild and recover from the South Napa Earthquake.

“Although the deadline to apply for property damage loans expired on December 29, small businesses and most private, nonprofit organizations of any size may continue to apply for an Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL), to help meet working capital needs caused by the disaster.  EIDL assistance is available regardless of whether the business or nonprofit organization suffered any property damage,” said Quinn.

“SBA customer service representatives continue to provide personalized assistance at SBA’s Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Napa.  At the center, SBA representatives are available to answer questions, close approved loans and help complete EIDL applications,” Quinn continued. No appointment is necessary.  The location and hours of the center are as follows:

The interest rate is 4% for businesses and 2.625% for private, nonprofit organizations, with terms up to 30 years.  The deadline to submit an Economic Injury Disaster Loan application is July 27, 2015. 

Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure Web site at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela
