Are masks available to emergency animal care workers? I am a member of the Board of Directors of the Amador County Animal Response Team (ACART). We operate emergency animal shelters in support of residents who are forced to evacuate with their animals during wildfire and other disaster events. Many of our volunteers are in vulnerable groups. Shelter operation necessitiates frequent and sometimes long exposure to unscreened individuals. A supply of masks would be beneficial in preventing the spread of COVID-19 among our volunteer population.
