SBA Disaster Assistance Available to California’s Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation Due to Early January Storms

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Low-interest federal disaster loans are now available to certain private nonprofit organizations in California following President Trump’s federal disaster declaration for Public Assistance as a result of the severe winter storm that occurred Jan. 3-5, 2017, announced the U.S. Small Business Administration. Private nonprofits that provide essential services of a governmental nature are eligible for assistance.

SBA disaster assistance is now available for the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation.

“Private nonprofit organizations should contact acting Chief Tamara Scott of the Proclamation and Recovery Planning Division at the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services by calling (916) 845-8245 or emailing tamara.scott@caloes.ca.gov to obtain information about applicant briefings,” said Director Tanya N. Garfield of SBA’s Disaster Field Operations Center-West. “At the briefings, private nonprofit representatives will need to provide information about their organization,” … continue reading »
