A 4.2 magnitude earthquake jolted Northern California on Tuesday evening at 7:40 p.m. The quake struck approximately eight miles away from Healdsburg, as reported by the U.S. Geological Survey.
The epicenter was located about five miles east-southeast of Cloverdale, roughly 19 miles from Clearlake and 22 miles from the city of Santa Rosa. The seismic activity originated at a depth of about 3.4 miles.
