In a significant operation against sex trafficking, a registered sex offender and two accomplices have been arrested in connection with the exploitation of two vulnerable victims in Southern California. This crackdown highlights the ongoing fight against human trafficking in the region.
Details of the Case
The federal indictment, consisting of six counts, was handed down by a grand jury on May 5, 2025, targeting Tyson Jamerson, a 43-year-old from Colton, California, known by aliases such as “West Coast” or “West.” He was partnered with Jaidyn Steinberg, 21, from Cherry Valley, and Ahliyah Hinojosa Tavie, 20, from Eastvale in orchestrating the trafficking ring.
In a troubling instance in September 2025, Jamerson and Hinojosa allegedly lured a minor from a known area of commercial sex work in San Bernardino. The pair exposed the young girl to drugs, including cocaine and marijuana, before coercing her into sex work at various locations in Ontario. Fortunately, the victim managed to escape their grasp.
In another disturbing incident in November 2025, Steinberg was accused of recruiting an adult female in Hollywood for Jamerson. He took her to an Airbnb in Ontario, where she faced strict control over her movements and was prohibited from contacting her family. Jamerson withheld her earnings under the pretense of helping her save for a car and apartment.
When the adult victim escaped without paying Jamerson for her last day’s work, she faced harassment. Jamerson and Steinberg stalked her, with Jamerson sending her threatening messages through social media.
The situation escalated in February 2026, when Steinberg confronted the victim at a location in Pomona, leading to a violent altercation where she stabbed the victim in the abdomen with a pocketknife, necessitating hospitalization for the injured woman.
