New Venue Launches with Exciting Concert
Thrilled fans filled ONT Field on Saturday night as the newest venue in the Inland Empire welcomed attendees for its inaugural event. This state-of-the-art facility, which is set to become a hub for both baseball and music, showcased its capacity with a lineup headlined by the acclaimed folk group The Avett Brothers and the renowned country musician Dwight Yoakam.
Community Connection and Future Events
As concertgoers flocked through the gates, excitement was palpable. ONT Field, designed to be more than just a sports venue, aims to foster community engagement through various events, including concerts and trade shows. Kelsie Woodward, the director of marketing and communications for Greater Ontario California, emphasized the venue’s vision: it will host a range of entertainment options beyond baseball, ensuring there’s something for everyone in the community.
Local residents, like concert attendee Richie, are enthusiastic about this development. “This city is growing rapidly. The airport is already here, and now this stadium is another step up for us,” he remarked.
Ticket prices for baseball games are set to be affordable, starting at just $5, which has residents anticipating future events with eagerness. Peggy Donica, a passionate Avett Brothers fan, shared her experience, stating, “It’s a great community builder. People gathered here—some were already in line since early morning—just enjoying the atmosphere with neighbors and their pets. It truly captures what community means.”
The general manager of the Ontario Tower Buzzers confirmed that ONT Field is on track to be fully operational for the season opener scheduled for April 2, promising an exciting season ahead.
