Safe and Sound: Mother and Baby Found After Amber Alert in Los Angeles

A mother and her 3-month-old baby have been safely located in Los Angeles, bringing relief after an Amber Alert was issued earlier that day.

The Amber Alert Information

On the morning of July 1, California Highway Patrol (CHP) activated the Amber Alert, which was relevant to several counties including Alameda, San Joaquin, Kern, and Los Angeles. The alert was prompted by concerns over the abduction of baby Maxence Sirois, just three months old.

The alleged abductor was identified as the child’s mother, 42-year-old Marina Kazakova. Authorities quickly launched a search for the pair.

Finding Mother and Child

The investigation revealed that Kazakova was driving a white 2016 Mazda CX-5, identified by the license plate number 7SJW898. CHP investigators successfully tracked down the vehicle late in the evening around 11:30 p.m. in the Westwood neighborhood.

Fortunately, the mother and her infant were discovered safe around noon the following day. Initial reports indicated that Kazakova was attempting to obtain a passport, and investigators noted that she had been fully cooperative throughout the investigation.
