Fatal Accident on the 10 Freeway
A serious collision unfolded on the 10 Freeway, resulting in the tragic loss of one life and leaving two others injured. This unfortunate event occurred on a Monday evening just west of Robertson Boulevard, leading to a complete shutdown of all eastbound lanes.
Incident Details and Aftermath
Shortly after 7 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to reports of a two-car crash. Eyewitness accounts indicated that the incident involved a Toyota Prius, which was completely consumed by flames upon their arrival. Authorities pronounced one driver deceased at the scene, while another individual was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
A third victim was reportedly treated at the scene by bystanders before being transported to the hospital, although details regarding their condition remain unclear.
In the wake of the accident, traffic was severely affected with delays evident as drivers were redirected from the eastbound side of the freeway at Robertson Boulevard. After several hours, the lanes were finally reopened around 1 a.m. on Tuesday, allowing traffic to resume.
