A frightening accident on the 405 Freeway led to five individuals sustaining injuries after two vehicles collided and rolled down an embankment. The incident unfolded on Saturday evening, with emergency services alerted at 7:03 p.m., near Victory Boulevard.
Footage from the scene captured first responders utilizing hydraulic tools to assist an injured man trapped within an overturned pickup truck. Nearby, another vehicle—a sedan—was also found tipped over down the steep incline.
Among the injured were three women and another man, all of whom were promptly transported to local hospitals for medical care. Details on their conditions have not yet been disclosed.
The Cause of the Accident
Witness reports to the California Highway Patrol indicated that one of the vehicles was seen speeding and weaving through traffic prior to the crash. However, it remains unclear which vehicle they were referring to.
Traffic Impact
Following the accident, all southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway were cleared and reopened by 9:20 p.m., allowing traffic to resume in the area.
